Cancun

We went to Cacun for our 1 year anniversary trip. It was wonderful and very relaxing. We stayed at the Le Blanc (highly recommend this hotel) it's all-inclusive. The only bad thing was that it rained every day. We were able to be outside all but 1 of the days. When it rained we would either take a nap or sit on our balcony waiting for it to stop.

Our first experience in Mexico wasn't that great. The airport leaves a lot to be desired and it was a mad house getting to our shuttle. There are specific people to help you get to your final destination, but once you let on that you may be a little lost, here come the droves of people who want money from you. We had asked an official where our shuttle would pick up and apparently this guy heard us say the name of the company, he runs over to us using that name, grabs our bags and takes off. We quickly take off after him and he gets us to where our shuttle is, but fully expects a tip for the "trouble" he went through taking our bags from us. Needless to say we learned real quick, you have to be forceful and stand your ground to these people, or you will be spending all of your money on tips.
Our room was on the 9th floor and was fabulous. We had two balconies, one with the view of the lagoon/street and the other with a view of the ocean.

We had a flat screen tv, but not a lot of channels to choose from. We had several HBOs but didn't have any good shows. Apparently, the point of going to Cancun, isn't sitting in your room watching tv.

One thing we found interesting about our room was that the end tables would light up. We are thinking about getting those in our house. :)

On day two (our anniversary) we did a couples massage, Nathan's first massage. And played in the ocean the rest of the day. When we got back to our room we had a bottle of champagne and cake waiting for us from the hotel.

We will have to continue this post in another post because it won't let us add any more pictures.
